External research grants awarded to ECBE faculty

In October 2018 Dr. Lu from ECE and Drs Huang and Gonzales-Torres from the School of Architecture received $75,000 from the US Department of Labor for education and training fro electrical hazards in the construction industry.

In August 2018 Dr. Hatziadoniu received $50,000 from Ameren CIPS for research in the Power Systems Program.

In March 2018 Dr Tragoudas received $40,000 from the National Science Foundation for the NSF I/UCRC for Embedded Systems.

In January 2018 Drs Tragoudas and Wang  received $100,000 for Emerson for research in embedded sensors.

In Fall 2018 Dr. Tragoudas received $175,000 from Ford, Intel, United and Technologies for research activities in the NSF I/UCRC for Embedded Systems.

In August 2017, Dr. Hatziadoniu received $50,000 from Ameren CIPS for research in the Power Systems Center.

In July 2017, Dr. Tragoudas received $50,000 from Intel Corporation for research in the NSF IUCRC for Embedded Systems.

In March 2017, Dr. Tragoudas received $50,000 from Intel for research activities in the NSF I/UCRC for Embedded Systems.

In September 2016, Dr. Hatziadoniu received $50,000 from Ameren for research in electric energy and power systems through the Power Research program at SIUC.

In September and August 2016, Dr. Tragoudas received $100,000 from the UTC and Ford for research activities in the NSF I/UCRC for embedded systems.

In August 2016, Dr. Shaikh Ahmed received $282,815 from the National Science Foundation for research in thermal, piezoelectric and hot carrier effects in HEMTs.

In June 2016, Drs. Weng and Wang received $150,000 from the National Science Foundation to integrate security of embedded systems in computer science and engineering curricula.

In March 2016, Dr. Harachiewicz and SIUC colleagues received $999,996 from the National Science Foundation for graduate scholarships in energy related topics.

In January 2016, Dr. Qin and SIUC colleagues received a grant from Medtronic Inc for research in ultrasound systems.

In December 2015, Dr. Ning Weng received a $15,000 educational grant from Intel to enhance the Computer Engineering curriculum.

In September 2015, Dr Tragoudas received $50,000 from the National Science Foundation for the NSF I/UCRC for embedded systems at SIUC. Between December 2015 and February 2016, he received $175,000 from Intel, Ford, UTC, and Lemko for research activities in the NSF I/UCRC for embedded systems at SIUC.

In September 2015, Drs Tragoudas and Wang received $99,999 from the National Science Foundation for research in developing image sensors using compressive sensing.

In 2015, Dr. Hatziadoniu received $50,000 from Ameren for research in electric energy and power systems through the Power Research program at SIUC.
